Music bingo from your Spotify playlist

  • 1–9 cards free
  • No account needed
  • QR code to your playlist

How do you make music bingo from a Spotify playlist? Paste your playlist link. bingomaken fetches the titles and artists, you review the list, pick a theme and grid, and download unique bingo cards as an A4 PDF. 1 to 9 cards are free, with no account or email address. You play the music yourself in Spotify.

Your link opens the creator. That is where we fetch the songs and you see right away whether it worked. The playlist has to be public.

These links work

  • spotify:playlist:…
  • https://spotify.link/…

From playlist to bingo card in 3 steps

  1. Paste the link

In Spotify, choose Share on your playlist and copy the link. Paste it into the field and click Connect in the creator.

  2. Review the songs

You see every imported title and artist. Fix a spelling or remove songs you don’t want on the cards.

  3. Design, download and print

Choose a theme, grid and number of cards. Every card gets its own arrangement. Download the PDF and print on A4.

The import runs through Spotify. If a playlist can’t be read, for example because it is private, you see that right away in the creator, before you pay anything.

What do we fetch from your playlist?

Only what goes on the cards. After the import, the list lives in your own draft. Whatever you change there leaves your playlist in Spotify untouched.

We do fetch

  • The title of each song
  • The artist or artists of each song
  • The playlist name and the number of songs
  • The link to the playlist, for the QR code

We don’t

  • No music or audio clips: bingomaken plays nothing
  • No album covers on your cards
  • No changes to your playlist or your Spotify account

Getting your playlist ready

A good bingo starts with the list. Three things make the difference.

  • Set the playlist to public, otherwise it can’t be fetched.
  • Have enough distinct songs. Twice the minimum gives the most variation between cards.
  • Changed the playlist in Spotify later? Click Connect again in the creator to fetch the new list.

How many songs do you need?

4 × 4
16 minimum · 32 recommended
5 × 5 with free centre
24 minimum · 48 recommended
6 × 6
36 minimum · 72 recommended
7 × 7 with free centre
48 minimum · 96 recommended

Each square needs one song. Photo squares or a switched-off free square change this number; the creator shows the exact minimum.

One QR code, everyone on the same playlist

Every download comes with a separate host guide PDF. It carries a QR code that opens the linked playlist in Spotify, so the host plays exactly the list that is on the cards.

Want players to be able to open the playlist too? Switch on ‘QR code on the cards’ in the design step. It is off by default.

Host guide

Scan the code to open the playlist, then turn on shuffle.

Example. This QR code opens open.spotify.com; on your PDF it points to your own playlist.

Questions about Spotify and music bingo

Which Spotify links can I use?

A link to a playlist: open.spotify.com/playlist/…, the spotify:playlist code or a spotify.link share link. Links to an album, artist or single track don’t work.

My playlist isn’t being fetched. What now?

Check that the playlist is public and that you copied the link to the playlist itself. If it still doesn’t work, send us a message through the contact page. A failed attempt costs you nothing.

Can I still edit the songs?

Yes. After the import you can correct titles and artists and remove songs. To add a song, add it in Spotify and connect the playlist again.

Do I need Spotify Premium?

bingomaken doesn’t ask for it when you make the cards. You play the music in your own Spotify app, within what your account allows. bingomaken itself plays no music.

Is Spotify music bingo free?

You make and download 1 to 9 cards for free, with no account or email address. From 10 cards you pay; the smallest pack is 20 cards.
